Baby Bolin: 4 Weeks

You may not feel pregnant yet, but your body is going through miraculous changes. In your uterus, the ball of cells that will become your baby is dividing furiously. Though it's only about the size of a poppy seed, it's officially an embryo now. Are you feeling queasy yet? If not, brace yourself: Despite the name, morning sickness can strike any time, day or night, and nearly eight in ten pregnant women suffer from it.
This week marks the beginning of the embryonic period. From now until ten weeks, all of your baby's organs will begin to develop and function. As a result, this is the time when he or she will be the most vulnerable to anything that might interfere with his or her development.
See what your embryo looks like now and find out how to confirm your pregnancy, when to see a doctor or midwife, and more.
How Mom's life is changing: This week, you should be able to find out if you're pregnant!
